Special Love Welcomes Director of Development, Kim Jappell

Special Love welcomes Kim Jappell as its newest Director of Development. Jappell is a familiar face around the organization as she grew up in Special Love’s BRASS program for cancer siblings and was a member of its Board of Directors prior to accepting her new position. She will now be responsible for leading all aspects of Special Love’s fundraising efforts. The "University of Camp Fantastic" was an amazing week - if you missed any of the action, check out the highlights on our Facebook page or by visiting the media links on the Camp Fantastic web page.  Thanks to all who made it possible, including the Alexander & Margaret Stewart Trust, The Richmond Shag Club, KOA Care Camps, and WRC's "Camp 4 Kids," plus all the generous clubs and individuals who provided a campership in 2015.  The results of your investment are as plain as the smiles on the faces of our 103 campers!

Registration Now Open for “Fall in Love 10K/5K Run & Walk”

        Registration is now open for the 4th annual "Fall in Love 10K/5K Run & Walk," on Oct. 15th at the C & O Towpath (GPS Address: 3500 Water St NW, Washington, DC 20007).   Race starts at 10 am and walkers and kids are welcome.
