Special Love welcomes Kim Jappell as its newest Director of Development. Jappell is a familiar face around the organization as she grew up in Special Love’s BRASS program for cancer siblings and was a member of its Board of Directors prior to accepting her new position. She will now be responsible for leading all aspects of Special Love’s fundraising efforts. Robin Couch Cardillo, Special Love’s former development director, left early this month having accepted an Executive Director position at another local non-profit. ”I’ve known Kim for many years and am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Kim again,” [...]

Ryan pictured center with the tennis class at Camp Fantastic When I was asked to write a blog for Special Love and what the transition was like from Camper to counselor I had to put a lot of thought and time before I could start writing it. The year off from the transition from camper to counselor was one of the hardest things because I would be missing out on all the fun at camp fantastic. [...]
