Thanks for hitting the links in June!
Duffers united! We were the beneficiary of not one but THREE golf outings in June!
The 26th annual John Mansini, Sr. Memorial for Camp Fantastic was on Monday, June 20th, at Meadowbrook Country Club (a new venue!) just south of Richmond. The Richmond Shag Club delivered a beautiful day of fun, food, and wide open fairways – click here for details.
Thanks to everyone who joined us at the Camp Fantastic Golf Tournament on Friday, June 3rd, at Rock Harbor in Winchester. We had TWO tee-times – 8:00 am and 1:30 pm – and even dodged most of the rain. Check out this year’s tournament Flyer and plan to join us next year on June 2nd.
Thanks also to Pat Carnright and everyone who attended The Mark Moseley Celebrity Golf Tournament on June 6th at Raspberry Falls in Leesburg, VA. We enjoyed a great course and LOTS of extras, including celebrity guests like NFL MVP Mark Moseley. Click here for more information (and eventual photos) – and plan to join us in 2017!

Thanks to the students of Alpha Phi Omega – Theta Chi and GWU who “took it off for the kids” by shaving all or some of their hair, or by cutting 8″ or more of hair to donate to Locks of Love. Thanks also to our camp volunteers like Jason and Ryan (at left) for signing lots of thank you cards!
Donations can still be made here.
Thanks to our friends the Sanfords and their many volunteers, even the rain couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm as they saluted the memory of their son, Joe, and all the kids of Olney, MD, with a fun, WET ride through the Olney countryside. Proceeds for this year’s event benefited Special Love’s BRASS Weekend for siblings of cancer patients. Check out the photos on their Facebook page!
Thanks also to everyone who joined us at this year’s Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival at Sandy Point State Park. It rained, which made it more bluesy!
