Special Love CEO Dave Smith (front right in photo above) joined pediatric oncology support groups from across the country for the People Against Childhood Cancer (PAC2) Fall 2011 Workshop in downtown Washington, DC on Sept. 22nd.  The meeting was part of a 3-day series of events to draw attention to the need for better support of children with cancer and their families.  Other attendees included Alex's Lemonade Stand, the Be+ Foundation, Curesearch, and SuperSibs.  The intent of the PAC2 gathering was to develop an action plan for centralizing and mobilizing the many groups who support support pediatric cancer families nationwide.  Dave was in attendance to represent not only Special Love but also the Children's Oncology Camping Association International, of which Special Love/Camp Fantastic is a member.  Dave will assume the presidency of COCA-I in 2012.
