That's why Special Love gives children and young adults with cancer and their families a chance to enjoy normal childhood activities that healthy kids often take for granted. From week-long camps, like Camp Fantastic and BRASS Camp (for siblings), to weekend retreats for families, teens, and young adults, Special Love's programs represent a community
of support that shows kids with cancer and
their families that they are not alone.

NEW Young Adult Survivor Resources
Special Love is helping to plan a fitness/nutrition workshop on July 20, 2008 at Balston Sport & Health. The workshop is FREE and includes fitness classes, great speakers, and a yummy dinner at Chevy's afterward. Click here for more info!

Special Love also co-hosted "Rise to Action," a DC area workshop for young adult survivors last April, in collaboration with the Children's Cause for Cancer Advocacy. Visit their site to see some of the presentations online!

Grants Available for Medical Expenses (New Funds Announced 5/08!)
The United Healthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) is now offering grants of up to $5000 to meet the needs of children nationwide for medical services not fully covered by health insurance.
