Camp Fantastic is honestly fantastic

My name is Tawney and this is my eighth year at camp. Camp Fantastic is a get-away from it all. Here campers don’t have to worry about anything. From the staff to the activities everyday is an adventure, every day is a smile.

My name is Tawney and this is my eighth year at camp. Camp Fantastic is a get-away from it all. Here campers don’t have to worry about anything. From the staff to the activities, every day is an adventure, every day is a smile. When entering camp you will feel at home and everyone here is your family. This is a camp where the male counselors will dress in dresses just to see the kids laugh and smile. It’s an exciting year to be here because it’s the 30th year anniversary.

Today is the day where all the campers choose our classes that we will be taking for the rest of the week. Camp Fantastic has pretty much any class that you can imagine! Then, at night, they always have something fun planned for the campers. Last night we had a Rock ‘n Roll concert where a local band called “Shotgun Shiver” played. Tonight is my favorite night – Carnival Night. Tonight we get to dunk our unlucky victim-counselors in the dunk tank of doom. Of course, there are also fun games and prizes along with motorcycle rides.

On Tuesday it’s Bonkers Day where you can let your crazy flag fly high and wear crazy clothes. Wednesday is Farm Day; we get to make buttons, have water gun fights, and have a bar-b-q. Afterwards the teens get to go to the bowling alley and eat pizza, play at the arcade, and, of course, bowl. Thursday is talent show day, where whoever wants to show off their amazing talent gets to do so in front of the whole camp! Friday is one of my favorite days – McDonalds brings food for lunch. Later that night we have a Banquet and a dance. Since it’s the 30th year anniversary at the dance we will wear some of our old camp shirts! Saturday is my least favorite part of camp; it’s the day we all have to leave. Looking back at how much fun all of us had makes it harder to go, but makes us look more forward to next year.

I know for sure I’ll come back as a counselor so I know the kids have as much fun as I did.
